Job shadowing is a great way to learn about careers you are interested in. At its most basic, you follow a person, who is working in the job you are interested in, through a day, or 1/2 day. You get a chance to see what the job really entails and have an opportunity to ask questions. This gives you first hand information about working in this field. If you do more than one, you can compare how the different environments influence the work.
