School Counseling can be broken down into 3 major areas; academic, personal social, and career. At the elementary level, we begin our lessons focusing on the personal social. This will be a continuing theme throughout the elementary grades. We also have lessons supporting the importance of academic classes and thinking about future careers. The emphasis here is connecting what they learn in school to their future plans.
Lessons are presented at the appropriate developmental level for each grade. Below is a list of what is typically included in school counseling curriculum.
